Kelly Young has worked in nearly every capacity of public relations throughout her 20+ year career. In
addition to her own PR consulting firm, Baise Communications, which is focused on nonprofits, Kelly is
the Director of Public Relations for Caldwell VanRiper (CVR), an integrated communications agency
specializing in public relations, advertising and digital media. CVR was founded in 1910 and is the oldest agency in Indiana. Both CVR and Baise Communications approach public relations with one goal; the publicity we generate must make a measurable impact on our clients’ business. We focus on results.
Kelly brings the knowledge and skills to help clients achieve their communications objectives through
strategic planning, aggressive media relations, community relations and event management. She
provides an organized, efficient and affordable approach to public relations. Kelly proclaims to be a
“lover of all things nonprofit.” Others have claimed she is a “PR/marketing guru and nonprofit junkie.”
One thing is true, she is motivated by working for – and with people and organizations that enrich lives
and make a positive impact in the community.
CVR and Baise clients are in a variety of categories, including education, healthcare, transportation,
manufacturing and economic development. Together, our clients are a mix of local, national and
international companies. Kelly has worked with clients ranging from the arts to youth-serving
organizations, education to state government agencies, and everything in between. She also has
managed the media and promotions for several local restaurant openings. Kelly has been honored as
one of Indy’s Best & Brightest and received the Edna B. Lacy Community Service Award for her
outstanding civic accomplishments.
