Melanie began her communications career in the newsroom as an award-winning radio news executive. Freelance work in broadcast journalism includes reporting for NPR’s “All Things Considered” and “Morning Edition,” The Associated Press Radio Network and others. As News Director, anchor and reporter for top-rated stations, Melanie received more than a dozen Associated Press Broadcast Awards including “Best Investigative Reporting,” “Best Anchor,” and ” Best Newscast.” She has served as a national judge for the Edward R. Murrow Awards.
