Nancy is most in her element when analyzing, developing or managing strategic communication programs and counseling top executives. She also thrives on the creative process.
Nancy established Wiser Strategies in 2011 as a strategic communication and creative services firm. With specialties in Energy, Environmental & Infrastructure, Government & Non-profits, Healthcare, and B&B and Professional Services, the company helps clients inform, engage and motivate audiences. She previously was co-founder and principal of Wiser, Hemlepp and Associates, vice president of The Preston Group, and director of public relations and marketing for Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital
Accredited in public relations and a member of the prestigious College of Fellows in the Public Relations Society of America, she has played a leadership role at every level of the international organization. Nancy is the youngest member inducted into the Thoroughbred Chapter’s Hall of Fame. She has served her community on numerous local and regional boards including her current position on the Lexington Center Corporation Board of Directors, which oversees Rupp Arena, the Central Bank Center, Triangle Park and the Lexington Opera House.
Nancy earned a master’s degree in communication from the University of Kentucky and was selected 2022 – 2023 Outstanding Alumnus. She has been a visiting instructor with UK’s Integrated Strategic Communication program and EKU, teaching courses in media relations, writing, and public relations cases. She has presented nationally and regionally on such topics as issue management, media relations, customer satisfaction, and research.
