Kris has been involved with numerous high-profile assignments during her 25+ year career, including providing strategic communications counsel and support for national and international companies such as Weyerhaeuser/Plum Creek, Kohler Co., Veolia, Paris Presents, Quarles & Brady, U.S. Cellular, GE Healthcare, Lung Cancer Alliance, Ocean Spray, Miller Brewing and other organizations and brands. Her versatile abilities range from communications planning, issues management and crisis communications, to media relations, publicity and promotions, relationship building and community relations. She also has led widespread publicity and promotional efforts for well-known brands, including Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, bd’s Mongolian Grill, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, Miller Lite and others.
Her work has resulted in dozens of awards and honors from the Public Relations Society of America, Women in Communications and clients. Kris earned the Accredited in Public Relations (APR) designation from the national Public Relations Society of America. She also served two terms on the board of directors for the Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, and currently serves in leadership roles with a number of other communications and business groups as well as community service organizations.
Kris has been with Laughlin Constable since 2012 when the integrated communications agency acquired the public relations and strategic communications firm she previously helped lead since 1994. She holds degrees in both journalism and political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
