Eileen Wixted is a nationally recognized strategic communications and crisis management veteran with core competencies in the agribusiness, financial services, energy and health care industries. As a communications expert, she has helped clients of all sizes shape messaging to grow and strengthen their market share, develop strategies to navigate brand damaging issues, as well as prepare them to face hostile media interviews and government investigations.
Eileen focuses on helping clients use communication to set a path for success. Whether announcing an acquisition, driving employee engagement, developing a thought leadership platform, or preparing to deliver communication at a news conference or industry meeting, Eileen’s results-oriented approach begins with the business goal and belief that operations lead communication. Especially adept in change management and providing high-level communication counsel to executives, Eileen helps clients use opportunities to communicate, in good times or bad, to build trust with key stakeholder groups.
Eileen has also coached countless executives for interviews with national and international news outlets, including TODAY, MSNBC, Squawk Box, Good Morning America, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes and many others.
Eileen was named one of the Iowa 500 Business Leaders to Watch list, received the Des Moines Business Record’s 2016 Woman Business owner of the Year. She also served as interim senior vice president of communications & government affairs for Advocate Health Care, the largest health care system in Illinois. Wixted & Company has received the Agency Elite Top 125 for the past five consecutive years. Eileen is a native of Brooklyn, New York, a graduate of Michigan State University, and the mother of four children.
