Cherry and Company is a public relations firm that builds, enhances and repairs organizations’ reputations from its headquarters in Memphis.

Cherry and Company’s founder and CEO, Kim Cherry, is a lifelong Memphian who knows how to build reputational capital and get business done.  In more than 30 years as a public relations professional she has developed expertise in media relations, internal and external communications, crisis communications and community and employee engagement.​

In her decades as a PR professional she’s built extensive relationships with local and national journalists.  She’s also built deep connections with other professionals she can call on when a project needs additional resources.

Kim Cherry’s career at First Horizon Corp. culminated with the bank earning a top-five ranking for reputation among all 5,000 banks in the country.  Her work has earned awards for media relations, community engagement and employee engagement.

Under her executive leadership at First Horizon she championed work/family programs that earned the company recognition for two decades as one of the nation’s best employers from respected organizations like BusinessWeek, Forbes, Fortune, AARP, American Banker and Working Mother. ​​

During her career she earned leadership roles in national trade organizations and accolades as one of the top PR practitioners and female executives in Memphis.  She has served as a director on numerous nonprofit boards and is a graduate of the New Memphis Institute and Leadership Memphis.  She earned her Accreditation in Public Relations and a Bachelor of Arts in communication arts from Rhodes College.  She is a Standards for Excellence licensed consultant.  She completed the Leadership and Strategic Impact program through Tuck Executive Education at Dartmouth and is completing her thesis for a Master’s in strategic communication through the University of Missouri School of Journalism.   ​

Cherry and Company is certified as a LOSB by the City of Memphis and Shelby County and as a DBE by the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority.
